Coaching should not be motivational theatre. Nor should it be abstract leadership theory.

My coaching is a practical thinking partnership focused on the situations where your effectiveness is tested: stakeholder meetings, difficult conversations, career decisions, leadership transitions, interviews, presentations, feedback, conflict and ambiguity.

The work usually involves diagnosing the situation and the stakeholder system, clarifying the real performance, career or positioning constraint, building self-awareness that improves action, preparing and rehearsing
important conversations, designing practical behavioural experiments and reviewing what happened so the next move is sharper.

The aim is not simply to understand yourself better. It is to act more effectively where it matters.
