This is a living collection of resources for my Year-End Conversations workshops for working professionals in Singapore. It includes all the resources I refer to in the 1.5-hour workshop. It is focused on the critical conversations between direct report and their boss. They can be useful conversations when they focus on the employee's capability and career development. They become very sensitive when they are explicitly or implicitly connected to judgements about how the employee will be rewarded for the year's work and how they will be incentivized for the future.
Whilst there are articles below about some aspect of compensation and promotion, the proper focus of preparing for these conversations should be a thorough evaluation of your performance. The best way to achieve compensation growth is when your pay follows your performance. The purpose of the workshop is to take stock of careers to date and explore some tools for self-awareness and mapping out the important choices and actions ahead.
