Andrew Jones is a Singapore-based executive coach, career coach and leadership educator with more than 35 years of leadership experience in Asia, including 28 years based in Singapore.
He works with senior leaders, functional heads, entrepreneurs, MBA and EMBA participants, leadership teams and ambitious mid-career professionals on leadership effectiveness, executive presence, stakeholder influence, career strategy, professional effectiveness and performance in complex organisations.His work combines senior corporate leadership experience, executive coaching, career coaching, facilitation, business-school teaching and a practical understanding of how careers and leadership actually develop inside organisations.
Clients usually come to Andrew when something important is changing: a larger role, a career decision, a promotion process, a difficult stakeholder relationship, the challenges of a new role, a career setback or the need to communicate with greater authority and credibility.
Andrew’s coaching is direct, confidential, thoughtful and practical. The aim is not simply to create insight. It is to help clients act more effectively when their leadership, career or professional judgement is being tested.

Senior corporate leadership experience
Before becoming an independent coach, Andrew spent many years in senior regional and global leadership roles in large, complex organisations. His corporate background includes senior leadership experience at Deutsche Bank, including Managing Director responsibilities across HR transformation, operations, sourcing strategy, organisational change, technology and regional and global business support functions.
That experience matters because many coaching issues are not simply personal. They are organisational. Senior professionals are often dealing with ambiguity, incomplete information, informal power, competing priorities, unclear expectations, cross-cultural dynamics, political constraints, reputational risk and pressure to perform without obvious feedback.
Andrew’s coaching is informed by that reality. He understands that leadership effectiveness is not developed in theory. It is tested in meetings, decisions, conversations, conflicts, stakeholder relationships, transitions and moments of pressure.

Independent coaching and facilitation since 2012
Since 2012, Andrew has worked independently as an executive coach, career coach, mentor, facilitator and leadership educator. He works with individuals and organisations across Singapore, Asia-Pacific and internationally.
His clients include senior leaders, country heads, functional heads, entrepreneurs, managers, high-potential professionals, MBA and EMBA participants, and mid-career professionals navigating important career or leadership decisions.
His one-to-one work includes executive coaching, career coaching, mentoring, leadership transition support, interview preparation, stakeholder influence coaching and professional effectiveness coaching.
His group work includes leadership workshops, group coaching, pod coaching, team development, executive education and facilitated learning for corporate and business school audiences.
Coaching education
Andrew holds the INSEAD Master of Coaching and Consulting for Change and has studied coaching at Ashridge Business School. He is also a certified leadership coach with the Eco-Leadership Institute, and a certified First 90 Days practitioner.
Where useful, Andrew incorporates recognised assessment and development tools for which he is a certified practitioner, including Hogan Assessments, CCL 360-degree benchmarks, Gallup StrengthsFinder, MBTI Step I and II, and EQ-i 2.0 and EQ 360.

Leadership educator and business-school coach
Alongside his coaching practice, Andrew teaches and facilitates leadership, management and professional-effectiveness programmes for executive and business-school audiences.
He is an Adjunct Professor and Senior Leadership Program Director at SP Jain Global School of Management. He also contributes as an Executive Career coach with INSEAD, IE Business School, Alliance Manchester Business School and Singapore Management University.
His teaching and facilitation draw on organisational behaviour, psychology, group dynamics, cross-cultural leadership and practical experience of working in complex organisations.
