Executive Presence Coaching
Practical executive presence coaching for senior professionals who need to land with greater authority, clarity and impact
I provide executive presence coaching for leaders, managers and ambitious professionals who need to be taken seriously in more senior rooms.
Executive presence is not about acting confidently, sounding polished or copying someone else’s leadership style. It is about how others experience your judgement, authority, composure, clarity and credibility under real conditions.
Clients usually come to executive presence coaching when they are preparing for a larger role, speaking to more senior stakeholders, presenting to decision-makers, recovering from feedback that they do not “land” strongly enough, or realising that their contribution is not being noticed in the way it should be.
The aim is simple: to help you communicate and carry yourself in ways that make your value easier for others to see, trust and act on.Executive presence coaching is practical and situational
We do not work on vague charisma. We work on the moments where presence is formed: how you enter a conversation, frame a point, respond to challenge, structure a message, hold silence, ask for what you need, disagree, recover from pressure and make your judgement visible.
This work can be more directive than traditional coaching. I may offer alternative language, demonstrate a stronger structure, challenge habits that weaken your authority, help you rehearse a senior conversation or give direct feedback on how your communication is likely to be received.
The work often asks:- What impression are you currently creating?
- What do senior stakeholders need to trust?
- Where are you over-explaining, softening or disappearing?
- Where do you need more structure, brevity or authority?
- How do you respond under challenge?
- What does your body, voice and message communicate?
- What would make your judgement more visible?
Executive presence develops when insight is translated into repeated behaviour.
Who is executive presence coaching for?
Executive presence is useful for:
- Senior professionals preparing for promotion or a larger role.
- Managers who need to communicate with more authority.
- Leaders who must influence senior stakeholders.
- Professionals who are technically strong but under-recognised.
- People preparing for board, ExCo, C-suite or regional meetings.
- Candidates preparing for senior interviews or assessment panels.
- Leaders who receive feedback that they need more confidence, gravitas, impact or strategic presence.
- Professionals working across cultures who need to adapt how they project authority.
The common thread is not personality. It is the need to be experienced as credible, composed and ready for greater responsibility.

How does executive presence coaching work?
Executive presence coaching usually begins with a short discovery conversation. We discuss the situations where presence matters most and what kind of shift would make the greatest difference.
If we work together, the process usually includes:
1. Situation diagnosis
We identify the specific situations where your presence is being tested:meetings, presentations, stakeholder conversations, interviews, promotion discussions or conflict.2. Presence audit
We examine how you currently communicate. This may include your messagestructure, language, pace, tone, body language, level of detail, handling of
silence and response to challenge.3. Practical guidance and rehearsal
We work on real examples. I may help you rewrite an opening, simplify amessage, practise a stronger answer, prepare for challenge or rehearse a senior conversation.
4. Behavioural experiments
You test new behaviours in real situations. This may involve speaking earlier, framing your point more directly, asking a clearer question, handling disagreement differently or reducing unnecessary explanation.
5. Review and refinement
We review what happened, what changed, what others noticed and what needs more practice.
What makes this executive presence coaching different?
This is not image coaching. It is not about becoming louder, more theatrical or less authentic.
The work combines:- Senior leadership experience
- Practical communication coaching
- Understanding of power, status and organisational context
- Psychological and behavioural insight
- Direct feedback and rehearsal
- Experience with senior leaders, managers and high-potential professionals
The purpose is to help you communicate in ways that are more credible, composed and effective in the professional situations that matter.
